"Casa Elena" is situated in an old village overlooked by a tower dating back to the year 1000, surrounded by greenery and woods, with an Etruscan necropolis nearby. The road which leads from Cellole to Collemucioli is part of the old "Via Francigena". The comfortable bed-room with bath-room, fridge and reading-room whith T.V. is furnished with antique furniture. It's connected to the part of the house inhabited by the owners, although it has an independent entrance. Parking space, barbecue, pergola and spacious garden are all at the guests' disposal.
HOW TO REACH US Travelling from North (Bologna) or from South (Rome) on the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole), take the Firenze Certosa exit, follow the Raccordo for Siena until the Poggibonsi Nord exit, thereafter follow the signs for San Gimignano.
To get to "Casa Elena", once you get to San Gimignano, go round it and on for a further kilometre until you reach (at Località Strada) a turning to the left towards Montaione and Gambassi, (Strada provinciale 69 di Cellole). After 2 kilometres, when you find the sign for Cellole, turn up to the right until you get to the open space in front of the Romanesque church. Keep on for about 1 kilometre on a winding wooded road until you reach the "village" of Collemucioli.
