| Dorandò
is a small and cosy restaurant for people who consider good food one
of the pleasures of life. Set in the heart of San Gimignano, between
the charming Piazza Duomo and Piazza Cisterna, it is part of a 14th
century building. It consists of three private rooms with vaulted roofs
and imposing stone walls, all furnished in a simple elegant style and
adorned with works of painters from San Gimignano. In perfect harmony
with the place, our cuisine, which takes inspiration from the flavour
of traditional Tuscan cookery, proposes creative light dishes prepared
with fresh natural products – which may vary according to the
different seasons – and always presented with a touch of inventiveness. |
We can accept up to 35 people. We mainly work “à la carte” and always require a reservation. Small groups are also welcome (no more than 16 people): they are usually suggested appropriate tasting menus, created especially for them, with the right combination of wines. Our cellar offers a wide selection of exclusively Tuscan wines; among the most important d.o.c., d.o.c.g. and Supertuscans of the region, we propose the wines of San Gimignano, together with wines of smaller, almost unknown, producers, which will be famous in the short run.
