Located in the centre of breathtaking Tuscany, situated on a hilltop, Casa alle Vacche is in an ideal spot, affording easy access to the discovery of the amazingly beautiful and interesting sights of the surrounding area. It is close to Certaldo, birth place of Boccaccio, a famous Italian writer, San Gimignano, with its unique medieval towered architecture, picturesque Volterra and of course not forgetting two of Italy’s major cities of art, Siena and Florence. The Ciappi family have been cultivating the land for three generations and are successful exporters of their exquisite quality wines, which you can savour whilst overlooking the vineyards from which they came! You are able to observe and follow the different activities associated with the changing seasons of the countryside; the pruning of the vines, grape-picking etc. and so with each passing day becoming just that little more Tuscan in you heart. The ìAgriturismoî Casa alle Vacche is composed of six apartments of which five are doubles and one a family apartment accommodating four persons. The apartments for two persons (approx 40sq m in size) are comprised of a double bedroom equipped with a TV, bathroom with shower and a spacious, open plan kitchen/lounge which has been furnished with a bed settee allowing for the accommodate a third person. Characteristic Tuscan decor with “cotto” floors and furniture in wood. All apartments are equipped with refrigerator, hob, micro-wave oven, cutlery, crockery and pans. Bed linen and towels are changed on a weekly basis. The independent heating is inclusive. The apartment for four persons (approx 55sq m in size) is comprised of two double bedrooms (one room containing a double bed, the second two single beds), bathroom with shower, open plan lounge/kitchen with TV and a spacious terrace which affords a panoramic view. Characteristic Tuscan decor with “cotto” floors and furniture in wood. The large lounge/kitchen area has been furnished with a bed settee to accommodate a fifth person. It is equipped with a refrigerator, hob, oven, cutlery, crockery and pans. Bed linen and towels are changed weekly. The independent heating is inclusive. FACILITIES: Casa alle Vacche provides the following amenities to all its clients: Situated in the garden just a few metres from the apartments you will find the open air swimming pool surrounded by parasols and sun beds. A decorative fence encloses the pool to ensure total privacy for its bathers. Relax in the greenery where tables, chairs and a gazebo have been placed for your comfort in the shade of the regal cypress trees. Enjoy organizing a barbecue with friends. Wine tasting (gratis) Sample Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi, two absolutely irresistible wines and savour the delicious extra virgin olive oil which are produced on the property, Reading room and lounge with satellite TV.
