Azienda Agricola Polveraia

Azienda Agricola Polveraia is set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, just 2kms to the historical centre of medieval San Gimignano, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and woodland. This family business, a certified organic farm since 2002, has specialized in the production of wine, oil, and cereals, according to the genuine Tuscan tradition. The farm activities also include the production of  Vin Santo (typical dessert wine), vegetables from the local kitchen garden, and fresh fruit. They also breed farmyard animals, pigs and horses. The friendly owners, Daniela and Maurizio, will be pleased to welcome you in the home of their ancestors, a typical farmhouse which has been carefully renovated whilst retaining original features, and divided into three double bedrooms with independent entrance. A wing of the house is used by the owners, who reside locally. Each room is fitted with all modern comforts including private ensuite bathroom, fridge, independent heating, and TV (Italian only). The three rooms can be rented in exclusive to accommodate up to 8 persons (6 + 2 extra persons) in a comfortable and spacious apartment. At La Polveraia you can start your day with a hearty and healthy breakfast with homemade cakes, pastries, typical seasoned meats, juices, bread, jam, butter, milk, coffee, and fresh fruit. The region is a joy to explore, with its many art towns and amazing landscape. Many footpaths depart from the house for pleasant walks along the vineyards, to soak up the relaxing atmoshere of the Tuscan countryside. Daniela will be pleased to cook for you delicious dinners (on request) to taste the simple but delightful dishes of the local culinary tradition in a homely atmosphere, sitting at the owners table with their lovely family.
