Pietra Antica, located in the heart of Tuscany, is
immersed in a very beautiful park. You may stay in an apartment created
out of a converted barn which has been furnished in the typical Tuscan
style.
The apartment consists of a double bedroom with bathroom, a bedroom
with two single beds, a large bathroom (with bathtub), a kitchen and
lastly a fireplace surrounded by sofas to enjoy it!
|
 |
This apartment has views not only of the
beautiful Tuscan countryside but also of its delightful surrounding
park which is available for you to enjoy.
It is more than 1,000 square metres in size with a stream, a fountain,
a typical well and many beautiful plants; the perfect place for you
to spend time in for those well deserved moments of relaxation! |
 |
At Pietra Antica you will find a homey atmosphere.
Mariano, Irma, Lara and
Samanta will always be available for your every need. We also organise
typical Tuscan dinners with local genuine produce such as “La
minestra di pane” (bread and vegetable soup), “Fagioli
nel fiasco” (Tuscan white beans cooked in a glass bottle)
as well as other dishes such as homemade pasta for first courses.
These dinners are
served in our splendid dining hall in the villa nearby with its view
of the medieval town of Certaldo Alto.
Weather permitting there is also the possibility to have outdoor barbecues. |
We are situated in the centre of Tuscany. As well
as visiting San Gimignano (only 9 kilometres away),
you may also visit Siena, Florence, Volterra, Montalcino, Pisa and
the Chianti area in addition to other smaller but just as beautiful
locations such as Monteriggioni.
Your holiday will be spent in contact with nature. We offer you the
chance of walking, riding bicycles or even horse-back riding in our
beautiful Tuscan countryside. |

Pietra Antica is reached
by taking the “Poggibonsi Nord” exit of the Firenze-Siena
highway (known as “superstrada”) then taking the road
in the direction for Certaldo. Then follow the road for San Gimignano
until you come to the turning for San Benedetto |
