"Forno Moderno" was founded in 1989 in Certaldo. For more than 25 years it has been giving its customers quality, homemade breads and cakes.
A new shop was opened in San Gimignano in 2015 at "Porta San Giovanni", one of the city entrance gates, where we now also sell a large selection of our wonderful, homemade delights.
We have a large selection of breads- with or without salt, using original, rustic grains,which are made following traditional recipes from many Italian regions. We also make pizzas and Schiacciate to suit an infinite variety of tastes.
In addition to our many types of bread we also bake brioches, Sicilian cannoli, rum babas, cantuccini of every kind and many varieties of fresh cakes which we make daily.
Our shops are full of seasonal pastries. At Christmas we make Panettoni, Cavallucci, Panforte, Ricciarelli and Amaretti; at Easter Colombe and for Lent Cenci and Frittelle.
Everything we produce is always made using, traditional recipes, top quality ingredients and natural raising agents.
